Raelert and Bij Van de Vaat win Ford Ironman Arizona

November 24, 2008 from www.ironman.com (Tempe AZ) In a day that saw a number or records broken, Andreas Raelert won his Ironman debut in impressive style and a time of 8:14:16. He was followed by Chris Lieto, from Danville, CA in 8:19:25 and Jordan Rapp from Scarborogh, NY in 8:19:45. For the women, Heleen Van de Vaat (photo) claimed her first Ironman title in 9:21:06 while local favorite, Leanda Cave from Tuscon, AZ was second in 9:25:07 and Italy's Edith Niederfriniger was third in 9:28:09. And an Ironman legend called it an Ironman career.
