Austin Richmond wins Jacksonville Bank Marathon
Austin Richmond, 27, of Babson Park, FL, won the Jacksonville Bank Marathon on Dec. 16 with a winning time of 2:23:50. Richmond had previously won the marathon in 2008. Chris Loseman, 24, of Cape Girardeau, MO, was second in 2:30:16, while Eric Koenig, 23, of Lutz, FL, finished third in 2:36:48.
On the women’s side, Maria Korobitskaia, 22, of Gainesville, FL, led the way in 2:43:23. Second place went to 34-year-old Mackenzie Howe of Watkinsville, GA, in 2:45:26, with Viktoriia Poliudina, 23, of Gainesville third in 2:49:38.
Fifty-year-old Gerrry Glynn of Jacksonville led the male masters race in 2:44:10, and Zola (Budd) Pieterse, 46, of Myrtle Beach, SC, was the women’s winner in 2:55:39.
Bret Fansan, 31, of Jacksonville Beach won the half marathon, running 1:09:11. Alissa McKaig, 26, of Blowing Rock, NC, was the women’s winner in 1:15:37.
