Asheville Citizen-Times Half-Marathon To Join Running Journal Grand Prix in 2008

The Asheville Citizen-Times Half-Marathon is the newest race to join the Running Journal Grand Prix. The half-marathon will be held on Sept. 13 in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC. This will be the ninth running of this popular event that also includes a 5K.

The half-marathon features a very scenic and challenging course that tours the downtown area, winds around Beaver Lake, and passes by the UNC Asheville campus. Changes for the 2008 race include separate start times for the half-marathon and 5K, wicking shirts and finisher medals for those in the half-marathon, and the addition of racewalk divisions for both races.
