Grand Prix XXXII Rules

Grand Prix points will only be awarded to runners residing in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC, at the time of the competition. Double Grand Prix points will be awarded at the Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville, AL. 10 Bonus points will be awarded to all runners scoring in all half marathons. *For runners who compete in the Little Rock Half Marathon and Germantown Half Marathon, points will be doubled from their highest scoring race of the two (*runner must run both events to qualify for bonus points). Only the top 8 Grand Prix performances for any runner will be counted in the open and any age group scoring of Grand Prix XXXII. A runner must run in at least 2 GP races to be eligible for an award at the end of the season. If a runner changes age groups, he or she may score in both age groups but only the 8 best in any age group will count in the total scoring. Following the Cotton Row Run on Memorial Day 2010, awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, top one male and female masters (40-49), top one male and female grand masters (50-59), top one male and female senior grand masters (60-69), top one male and female veterans (70-over) and the top three finishers in each age category and those present will have photos taken for publication in Running Journal.

Points will be awarded in each race as follows:

---Top 20 males and females overall.

---Top 8 male and female masters (40-49), grandmasters

(50-59) senior grandmasters (60-69), veterans (70-over)

-- Top 8 males and females in age groups 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-over.
